    Paul Kalkbrenner & Paul van Dyk Lead Ferrara Summer Festival Line Up – Electric Mode


    Il Gatto & La Volpe return, the best of trance music with Spirit of Trance, a live performance by Paul Kalkbrenner: Ferrara (Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy) is preparing to become an increasingly important Italian and international hub for the electronic summer, thanks to Ferrara Summer Festival, which firmly focuses on the best of international dance music.

    May 2026, Sunday 24th, from noon to midnight: Il Gatto & La Volpe in Afterhour. Adrian Morrison, Athomkraft, Cirillo, Claudio Di Rocco, Datura, Fabio Mbini, Gianni Parrini, Joe T Vannelli, Luca Antolini, Marco Bellini, Massimino Lippoli, Panda, Pench, Rexanthony, Ricci Jr, Teou: these are the DJs who make up the lineup for an entire day dedicated to the sounds that have shaped the history of house, techno, and electronic music, masters of the truly evergreen decks. All this at Sottomura Open Air, with a free event t-shirt for the first 500 ticket holders.

    June 2026, Monday 1st (from 5 pm): Spirit of Trance at Sottomura Open Air. Trance is one of the most international electronic genres, with very active communities in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and even online. Dedicated festivals and major events attract people from all over the world, creating a shared culture of energy, connection, and belonging. In Italy, all this will translate again this year into the one-day Spirit of Trance festival, which will feature top names at Sottomura Open Air such as Aly & Fila, Bryan Kearney, Ferry Corsten, Giuseppe Ottaviani, John O’Callaghan, and Paul Van Dyk. This event is already attracting considerable attention from the trance fan base around the world. Note: June 2nd is Republic Day in Italy (holiday).

    June 2026, Saturday 20th (from 7 pm): Paul Kalkbrenner. Piazza Ariostea – Ferrara stage that welcomes artists and audiences from around the world is ready to welcome an absolute champion. Paul Kalkbrenner is a pivotal figure in contemporary electronic music, continuing to redefine it with rhythmic rigor and melodic sensitivity, as demonstrated with his latest album, “The Essence,” released last year. Kalkbrenner is an artist balancing the club and the mainstage, always true to himself and never influenced by passing trends.

    “Three events, three souls of electronic music, one great stage: Ferrara Summer Festival 2026 is preparing to welcome fans from all over Italy and abroad – explains Fabio Marzola, patron of the Ferrara Summer Festival and owner of Madame Butterfly, also in Ferrara – We’ve created three unique events, dedicated to the past, present, and future of electronic music, to unite fans of these musical genres from around the world”.
