Robby B – New Money (Single)

Making a name for himself in NYC’s hip hop scene, Robby B is back with his newest clubroom anthem, ‘New Money’. The confident grind-rap anthem is an ambitious single, playfully sampling Fatman Scoop and drawing influences from Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and Moneybagg Yo. Loaded with heavy bass and modern rap lines, ‘New Money’ oozes a self-made energy, perfect for late night drives.

Discussing the single, Robby B explains:“I wrote the song ‘New Money’ in late 2025. After discovering the beat online, the lyrics came to me almost immediately. The inspiration for the song came from my enjoyment of strip club culture, and I wanted to create a theme song that captured that atmosphere and energy.

The phrase “New Money” represents celebration, opportunity, and a fresh start. It reflects the excitement of getting a new job, entering a new year, or reaching a milestone that motivates you to improve and move forward. That positive, uplifting energy is what I aimed to convey through this song. Much like the feeling people experience at the beginning of a new year, New Money is meant to inspire a sense of renewal and possibility. When listeners hear the song, I want them to feel motivated to embrace new opportunities, start fresh, and believe in the possibility of a second chance.”

Merging contemporary R&B and old school hip hop, and drawing on traits from noughties rap icons, Robby B has been dropping anthems since 2019. Born and raised in New York, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in terms of Robby’s musical heritage. With a gift for creating floor-filling anthems and instant classics, Robby has a unique skill for crafting catchy hooks, alongside astute production.
