Carl Kammeyer returns with the new track, Only You

Released today is Carl Kammeyer’s new single, “Only You”. It’s a smooth blend of alternative indie mixed in with an undertone of R&B. One thing that I need to say from the get-go is that his vocals are sensationally smooth, so seductive, almost reminding me of the British band Lighthouse Family in terms of how easily you can get into the track. It’s almost like Carl is inviting you into his sound.

… asmooth, self-produced alt-pop track blending R&B undertones, Lighthouse Family-esque vocals, and 90s-inspired twanging guitars.

It’s a deeply moving and personal track, and it also acts as his second single of the year. I also really enjoyed how the pace of the track picked up at the chorus, with a bit more of a drive via the drums and that charming, twanging guitar echoing in the background. It almost reminded me of the late ’90s indie scene and The Smiths.

One thing I have to applaud about this track is how he’s blended an authentic mix of alternative pop, nostalgic sounds, and a beat that will keep the younger generation interested. The self-produced track is once again highlighting Carl’s talent, so be sure to check it out as soon as you are done here.
