Well that’s it from us for this week, and we leave you dear reader with a new song from Teenage Fanclub who will release their new album Do Not Dare To Dream on 9th October via Merge Records. The band’s 13th studio album follows the acclaimed 2023 release Nothing Lasts Forever and finds the group continuing to evolve their signature blend of melodic guitars, warm harmonies, and reflective songwriting. Following lead single Day In The Sun, the band have shared new single Be With You Tonight. A shimmering, guitar-driven song filled with rippling piano, Mellotron strings, and a fuzzy dual-guitar break, the song reflects Norman Blake’s newfound happiness and was inspired by a move to a new house in the countryside near Glasgow. Watc “I’m in a good place in terms of happiness and wellbeing, and my songs on this album are really just a reflection of that,” says Blake. “I’ve found that the easiest thing to write about is yourself. It can be quite cathartic. It’s sort of like doing your own therapy.”

Take care, don’t forget Palestine – not sure Ed Sheeran will now in a hurry – and keep fighting those fascists. See you next week.
