AYUSH DATTANA Drops Hypnotically Tense New Single ZENITH – Electric Mode

‘ZENITH’ is a peak-time tech house release from AYUSH DATTANA built around hypnotic tension, rolling groove, and high-energy release. Inspired by the wonky, forward-pushing style of Walker & Royce, especially “Rise to the Sky”, the track focuses on building momentum inside the DAW rather than following a traditional songwriting path. Layer by layer, it rises into a euphoric drop designed to pull listeners straight into the middle of a packed dancefloor.

Created in his private production suite, ‘ZENITH’ was shaped in close collaboration with his wife, who helped refine vocal hooks and rhythm details, giving the track extra precision for their back-to-back DJ sets. The result is a crisp, modern tech house record that feels both tightly engineered and built for live energy, with its accompanying visuals capturing the raw intensity of them performing together behind the decks in an industrial, high-contrast setting.

AYUSH DATTANA is an electronic music producer and DJ shaped by the gritty, “wonky” energy of the modern tech house scene. Inspired by genre-bending artists like Walker & Royce, he builds tracks around driving basslines, playful synth movement, and high-intensity groove designed with the dancefloor in mind. His sound lives in that space where industrial textures meet peak-time club energy, always pushing forward with momentum and attitude.

As the creative force behind Decode Dance, AYUSH also curates immersive events and delivers dynamic DJ sets, often performing back-to-back with his wife behind the decks. With releases like ‘ZENITH’, his approach stays rooted in a “rules don’t apply” mindset, focusing on rhythm, impact, and atmosphere above all else. Constantly evolving with the pulse of the new generation, AYUSH DATTANA continues to shape a sound that is hypnotic, bold, and built for dancing.

    Artist name and location?

    Ayush Dattana | Chandigarh, India

    Introduce yourself in one paragraph:

I’m a DJ, producer, and curator exploring the intersection of groove, culture, and community through electronic music. My sound sits somewhere between tech house, house, and deeper electronic textures, shaped by years of experiencing dancefloors across India and around the world. Alongside music production and performance, I actively work on building platforms and experiences through initiatives like Decode Dance and DMS Live Sessions, creating spaces where artists, audiences, and culture can grow together.

Were you connected with music from a young age, or anyone in particular inspired you?

Music was always around me, but I wasn’t the kid who knew he would become a musician. My connection grew through experiences. Travelling to festivals, discovering different scenes, and watching how music could unite thousands of strangers inspired me more than any one artist. Those moments planted the seed.

What first kickstarted your musical career?

COVID changed everything. Like many people, I suddenly had time to slow down and explore things I’d been curious about. What started as experimenting with GarageBand and learning instruments quickly turned into an obsession with creating music. The deeper I went, the more I realised this wasn’t just a hobby.

Tell us more about your sound and how it has evolved.

My early influences came from larger festival sounds, but over time I became more interested in groove, tension, and storytelling. Today my sound is rooted in tech house and deeper electronic music. I focus less on chasing big moments and more on creating journeys that keep people moving without them even realising why.

Any words you want to share to encourage other artists and producers?

Create more than you consume. Most people wait until everything is perfect before putting themselves out there. Progress comes from showing up consistently, sharing your work, and learning in public.

Networking, consistency, character, approach… what and how do you initiate your industry relationships?

I try not to approach networking as networking. The best relationships I’ve built started with genuine curiosity and shared passion for music. If you’re adding value, staying consistent, and treating people well, opportunities tend to follow naturally.

Is there anyone specific you’d like to thank that has helped you evolve and why?

My family and close circle for believing in ideas before they became reality. Also everyone who supported the early DMS and Decode Dance concepts. Building anything meaningful takes a community.

Name 3 albums or labels that have inspired you the most.

The myth of NYX, Blackbook Records, and Defected Records. Each taught me something different about storytelling, atmosphere, and dancefloor energy.

What’s your favourite piece of studio equipment or software?

Ableton Live. Every project starts there. It’s become less of a software and more of an extension of how I think about music.

    Name an outlandish rider request?

A perfectly soundproof room with zero notifications for 24 hours before a set.

Favourite clubbing memory, who or what did it involve?

Watching a crowd collectively lose themselves during a sunrise set. No phones, no distractions, just people completely present in the moment. That’s what dance music is really about.

    What quote represents you best?

    “Build what you wish existed.”

If you could play any venue, where would it be and why?

If you could play any venue, where would it be and why?

    Music is… (explain more)

Music is one of the few languages that doesn’t need translation. It can change the energy of a room, trigger memories, inspire action, and create belonging all at the same time.

One song you really couldn’t live without?

Ben Böhmer – Beyond Beliefs. It’s one of those tracks that reminds me why electronic music can be both emotional and powerful.

Name drop your favourite tunes, artists or DJs (past or present).

Carl Cox, Solomun, Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Ben Böhmer, Adriatique, Miss Monique, Tale Of Us, Rufus Du Sol, and CamelPhat.

What was your first music opportunity and how did it fuel your fire?

My first opportunity wasn’t a big show. It was realising that people connected with something I had created. That validation, however small, made me want to keep learning and keep building.

Tell us more about your plans for the future.

The focus is on releasing more original music, growing Decode Dance into a recognised platform, expanding DMS Live Sessions, and contributing to India’s electronic music culture in a meaningful way. I want to create experiences that outlast trends.

Any worldly advice you’d like to share?

Travel whenever you can. The world becomes much bigger when you leave your comfort zone, and creativity grows fastest when you’re exposed to different people, places, and perspectives.
