    MNOV – Here (Single)

MNOV Introduces Himself With Quiet Power on Debut Single “Here”.

Emerging from Lagos with a sound that resists easy categorisation, MNOV arrives with his debut single “Here”, an intimate and emotionally grounded introduction to his artistry.

Written by MNOV and co-produced with Ikon Ekwuyasi, the track leans into stillness rather than spectacle. Built on an atmospheric acoustic foundation with soft ambient textures, “Here” moves between indie folk, alternative R&B and retro soul, creating a space that feels both personal and expansive.

At its core, the song reflects on what it means to remain present in moments of uncertainty. Inspired by a fragile point in a relationship where his love was being questioned, MNOV resists grand gestures and instead offers something simpler, the promise of showing up. As he puts it, “Irrespective of what I go through in life, I’m always going to show up. I’m always going to be here.”

That clarity defines the record. “Here” does not attempt to resolve uncertainty but instead sits with it, turning it into an act of quiet devotion.

MNOV’s arrival feels timely within Africa’s evolving R&B and soul landscape. Rather than chasing trends, he creates music rooted in reflection and restraint. Drawing from years of lived experience, from early choir days in Lagos to a more intentional return to music in recent years, his strength lies in emotional precision.

With “Here”, MNOV keeps things simple, saying only what matters, and in doing so, creates something that lingers.
