The Moshville Times – Final band and day splits announced for Uprising tenth anniversary

With just over a month to go, the team behind Leicester’s Uprising have added the final piece of the puzzle to an already stacked bill. This year sees the festival celebrate a massive tenth anniversary, promising an action-packed day of rock and metal at the O2 Academy on Saturday, 23rd May 2026.

Completing the Uprising 9 line-up are The Sun’s Journey Through The Night. The intense creation of a masked frontman known only as “No One,” the project has spent four years honing a signature style of chaotic and cathartic black metal. With three albums already under their belt, the band delves into heavy themes of personal trauma, creation, and the universe. Punters can expect a vehement performance with a setlist covering their entire history, including the monolithic 2023 title track “Worldless”.

The main stage, dubbed the Total Rock stage, is topped by industrial legends Pitchshifter, who are playing an exclusive live set for 2026. Joining them are post-grunge powerhouses InMe, who remain a cracking live act decades after bursting onto the scene. Also returning are Breed 77, following their belter of a comeback at Uprising 7, alongside Ward XVI, Mayfire, Foul Body Autopsy, and Fractions.

Over on the Very Metal Art stage, there are no clashes to worry about, so you can catch every riff. UK heavy titans Stampin’ Ground are set to headline with their ferocious mix of aggression and melody. They are joined by the legendary Lawnmower Deth, famous for their mental stage antics and that “Kids in America” cover. The stage also features the electrifying Hawxx, plus Gurt, Survivalist, Maatkare, Crowley, Pryma, and Break Them.

For those looking to make a full weekend of it, “The Night Before Uprising” kicks off on Friday with sets from Viking Skull, Mage, and Tribe of Ghosts. It has been quite a journey over the last decade, and the organisers are chuffed to see the festival thriving as they head into this milestone year.

Tickets are on sale now at £35 (plus fees), with under-12s going free and 12-16s priced at £20. Friday night tickets are available separately for £11.
