The Damned announce Final Damnation 50th anniversary UK Tour

Following their recent triumphant 50th Anniversary show at Wembley Arena, The Damned will continue the celebrations with the Final Damnation 50 tour in November and December.

The line-up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies, Paul Gray and Monty Oxymoron will play seven dates around the country, kicking off at the Brighton Dome on November 25. See the poster below for the full list of dates:

    Damned 50 tour

Says Rat Scabies: “Half a century on and who’d have thought we would still be upright and breathing? We never thought we’d make it this far and neither did you! But here we are, a finely tuned engine. The Damned still has the power and finesse to excite, entertain and accelerate into our 50th year.”

Adds Captain Sensible: “With 50 years of catalogue to choose from, only the best songs from our chequered history will be performed, and with the passion and commitment all good music lovers deserve. You know we won’t disappoint.”

The Damned will be supported on all dates by Australian punk pioneers The Saints ’73-’78, also celebrating 50 years since their debut single. Led by founding members Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay, the line-up also features Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party/The Bad Seeds), Jim White (Dirty Three) and Mark Arm (Mudhoney).

Tickets go on general sale from here on Friday (May 1) at 10am BST.
