Michael Jackson’s original Thriller jacket and Motown 25 glove will headline Julien’s Auctions’ Fashion Legacy Evening Sale on 7 December 2026 at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, linking music-video design with the market for pop memorabilia.
Among 100-plus pieces is Deborah Nadoolman Landis’s Thriller jacket—one of two made for the video and, Julien’s says, the only one worn without zombie makeup.

The Motown 25 glove is estimated at $600,000–$800,000, versus $430,000 in 2009. Thriller loafers and Motown 25 rehearsal shoes also feature, the latter estimated at $60,000–$80,000.
Each one carries a moment that transformed pop culture forever, and we’re honoured to offer them again,” – Martin Nolan, Julien’s co-founder and executive director
International previews will precede the auction. The sale puts a commercial value on the physical design behind performances whose images continue to circulate long after their original broadcast.
