System Of A Down are teasing something for 2027

System Of A Down are teasing something for 2027

It’s been a huge year for System Of A Down, but the nu-metal icons are already teasing something for 2027.

Before they headline Texas’ Sick New World next weekend, out west in the U.S. a whole bunch of logos have gone up at various Los Angeles landmarks, including near the Capitol building and off Pico Boulevard. Early next year, SOAD have some live dates in Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, so does this mean even more gigs stateside after that?

Speaking to Kerrang! this time last year about the fact his band are headlining stadiums these days, frontman Serj Tankian admitted, “For us, it’s insane. And it speaks volumes about people and their kids coming to shows and the generational power of music, and particularly System’s music. It really hits a nerve with people – we don’t exactly know why it does, but we’re very grateful. We disappeared for so many years for our own personal reasons, and then we reappeared, and there’s this huge demand, and we’re just shocked by it. We just want to be careful and make people happy with our performances but not overdo it.”
