PISS are whipping up a storm of resistance on their new single, Rote Zora. ‘Resistance is Possible.’ Emma, no. 6, June 1984, pp. 39-41.
The song’s rather long title and lyrics reference an interview transcript first published in Emma in 1984. While the rising Canadian quartet’s performance art-inspired music has often been quite a heavy listen both sonically and emotionally, this song lets in a little more hope, with a cry of ‘Resistance is possible.’
It will appear on PISS’ debut album, you made me / skin on linen, which is out on October 30 via Sub Pop and also features the singles blocking a scene you can’t remember and time loop at hot slit.
