Well, we start the week with a real treat for all those fans of americana favourite Elles Bailey: a new, non-album single release. Originally recorded at the same time as the album Can’t Take My Story Away (and circulated with some deluxe versions), it was written alongside Danny Addison, Amy Yon, and Luke Potashnick, who also produced the track. Ellles Bailey explains the decision to now release the song as a single: “I always end up recording more songs than can fit on an LP, and choosing which ones don’t make the final cut is honestly heartbreaking. Every track feels like it deserves a place on the record just as much as the others. Back To You and Best Believe found their home on the deluxe zine of Can’t Take My Story Away, and I’m delighted that both songs are now out digitally on all the usual platforms.”

Elles’ extensive summer and autumn tour dates can be found here; she is everywhere.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan’s music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That’s not much to ask, is it?
